I was contacted by the lawyer of the mother of my child asking for my address so they can served me with papers regarding the custody of my child file at court by the mother.
I accept to receive this papers so i can move on to have a judge decide at court if it will grant sole custody as the mother is asking or joint legal custody as i want.
what should i expect and do after being served?
I don't have a lawyer as i have exhausted all resources with no avail I will represent myself at court.
the lawyer of the mother of my child told me that by receiving this papers I don't necessarily agree to the terms the mother had file at court earlier and that i can still negotiate an agreement in case we don't reach one a court most decide.
the hearing will be in new Mexico.
