Can the court force me to take a paternity test? What if I refuse?
Yes, the court can and will force you to take a paternity test in order to determine
parentage, mainly for the purposes of establishing an order for child support.
If you refuse to take a paternity test (as ordered by a judge), you may be charged
with contempt of court.
