Yes, with few exceptions, you have the right to a copy of everything that is in your legal file. If you are on
reasonable terms with the attorney, ask to come by and look through the file for what
you need. If not, you may need to send letters requesting the records that you want.
Send the request letters by certified mail so you'll have an audit trail, in case there's a
problem getting the records.
