SPARC Child Support FAQ

42. My 18yr old recently quit high school. She says she is going back next year. Am I still obligated to pay child support while she makes up her mind?
This depends on how the parenting plan and/or child support order are written; some have stipulations about the child remaining in school, automatic emancipation (and cessation of child support) on the 18th birthday, or other provisions that may affect child support payments.
