Chances are you were directed to this page after contacting us...
Your message was sent.
Due to the volume and nature of email received at SPARC, we can't always respond to every single inquiry. To help get you the answers and information you need as quickly as possible, we created this page covering most of the common issues people have difficulty with.
Please take a moment to read through this page. If your reason for contacting us is covered on this page, you probably won't receive a response from us unless you contact us again.
If you're contacting us in for advice, legal information, or suggestions about a divorce or custody issue, your best bet will probably be to post a message about your situation on one or more of the SPARC message board. You'll get some good ideas and advice from the people that use the boards.
Also check the FAQ Center, as it's quite possible that your question has already been answered there.
If you're having difficulty registering for or posting on the SPARC message boards or chat room, please contact us.
If you get the message "User not activated", you probably didn't click on the link in the email you got when you registered. You must click on the link to confirm and activate your account.
If you're still having difficulty, we'll need you to send us the email you got when you registered, ALONG WITH ANY ERROR MESSAGES you're receiving. If you don't include this information, you may not receive a response back from us.
If you've lost of forgotten your password for the message boards, you can request a temporary password for them. Go to the recover my password page and fill out the form to get a new, temporary password emailed to you.
If you have trouble logging to chat, in or are forwarded to the Main Boards page instead of entering chat, close *all* your browser windows, then open a new browser and login.
We cannot recover your password for the chatroom; if you lost it, email us and ask that we delete the account so that you may re-create it with a new password.
"I contacted you about a problem but didn't receive a response. How come?"
Your email message may have been too vague or cryptic. Believe it or not, we get many emails like this on a daily basis:
"Unable to access site. Please help." or "Help, I'm having a problem."
Did the web page load incorrectly? Or did the user's house get hit by a tornado? We can only speculate... So if a user makes no effort to explain their problem, we can't be expected to make an effort to fix it. We simply do not have the time to carry on a protracted email discussion, dragging the answers out of you a little bit at a time. Details are extremely important to us when it comes to troubleshooting technical issues. If you don't provide details, we cannot help you. If none of the above links or suggestions help, or if your inquiry is regarding a technical, advertising, or other issue, please email us again with the Subject line "SECOND REQUEST"and include the following information:
Your user name and password.
If contacting us regarding a problem, we need a CLEAR description of the difficulty you're having.
What part of the site is this about? (message boards, chat room, etc.)
Once we have the information we need, we'll do our best to respond as quickly as possible.
